If you are experiencing problems using your REI Conversion theme(s), please try to follow these steps:

  1. Read Documentation
  2. Read our documentation and check our FAQ. Make sure your server’s PHP version is above 5.4, although above 7.0 is ideal.

  3. Update Theme and Plugins
    1. Backup

Make a backup before performing any test or making changes to your site, if you haven't already. We highly recommend this. More info at: Keeping Your WordPress site Backed Up

      Update Theme

Make sure you are using the most updated versions of WordPress & your theme. To update your theme go to your  WP Admin > Appearance > Themes

Look for the theme and if ' New version available' is displayed, click the Update now link to update your theme.

    Update Plugins

Make sure you are using the most updated versions of the plugins. To update your plugins, go to your WP Admin > Plugins
Look for the plugins and if ' Update Now' is displayed, click on it to update.

  4. Troubleshooting using Health Check
  5. The Health Check plugin is useful when troubleshooting problems on your REI Conversion site, particularly those related to plugin and/or theme conflicts. It allows you to do a number of tests on your site in a separate session, without affecting visitors.

    Backup

Before we install the Health Check plugin, make sure to back your site up. We highly recommend this.

Make a backup before performing any test or making changes to your site, if you don’t already have one. More info at: Keeping Your WordPress site Backed Up

    Installation

Download the Health Check plugin from the WordPress.org repository, and upload and install the .zip file to your WordPress/WooCommerce site.

    Or use the WordPress Dashboard:

    1. Log in to your WordPress/WooCommerce site.
    2. Go to: Plugins > Add New.
    3. Search for Health Check & Troubleshooting.
    4. Select Install Now, and then Activate.

    Usaging Health Check

Health Check includes a good, general overview of your WordPress installation.

To access the Health Check overview, go to: Dashboard > Tools > Site Health:

    Troubleshooting

Health Check’s true power is its troubleshooting mode, allowing you to switch the theme and test plugins without impacting visitors to your site.

To troubleshoot, go to Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Troubleshooting and then select Enable Troubleshooting Mode.

Once in Troubleshooting Mode, you can control which theme and plugins are enabled via the Dashboard. Initially, all plugins are disabled.

When viewing your site, you’ll see your own specific session where the theme and plugins are set by Health Check. When visitors view your site, it appears normal.

At this point, perform any necessary tests.

To disable Troubleshooting Mode at any time, selecting Disable Troubleshooting Mode on your site’s Dashboard or via the Admin bar.

If you continue to experience issues, please trace your steps back prior the issue and reverse those steps.

NOTE: Don’t forget to speak with your hosting and/or domain name service to see if the issue lies there.

Problem Persists After Troubleshooting?

If you have followed all these steps and you’re still encountering difficulties, please contact our support following these steps:

  1. Describe the issue and what led to it. Please be as accurate and detailed as possible.
  2. If you suspect the issue was caused by the plugin you are using, please attach the name + URL of the theme/plugin.
  3. Please provide us with screenshot images or screen recordings (useloom.com) to better explain the issue

Deactivate all your plugins besides Elementor (and Elementor Pro) and required plugins. If this solves the problem, gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.
